Wedding Planning Spas Health and Exercise

The months prior to your wedding can be a time of elation, but also one of stress for you, as well. You can keep the stress under control by taking care of yourself along the way.

By commencing on a good health and beauty regime early in your engagement will provide you will the all-over healthy feeling and glow you wish to achieve before your wedding day. Regular exercise and good eating habits are two keys to both emotional and physical well being.

You may want to join a health and fitness club to keep you motivated to stay in shape. They offer individualized diet and nutritional assistance, as well and can design a program especially for your needs.

Boot camps are a rage too and like any other form of exercise, they require discipline and commitment to your goal. The group mentality will give you an opportunity to make new friends while working on your goals.

You may also want to treat yourself to a spa experience. Day spas provide a caring and private environment where you can surrender your stresses, while making your body look and feel great.

A therapeutic massage after a busy, tension- filled week will ease the kinks and you will come away feeling refreshed both physically and mentally with a clear head.

Spas offer many services including facials, waxing, hydrotherapy, herbal body treatments. manicures, pedicures and other yummy treatments.  Some have hair salon services. They offer special packages for you so you can spend a relaxing, stress-free hour or day and leave feeling beautiful, invigorated and recharged.

We suggest that you start schedule spa sessions early in your engagement, especially if you have weight loss or toning as a priority.  You may also want to work on your complexion or other trouble spots that need a little longer to correct.

As you incorporate a personal health and beauty regimen into your life, include you mother, or bridesmaids, and even your fiancé.  It is always more fun to exercise, diet, or visit a spa with a friend.

Arrange a spa session for all the gals in your wedding party! It’s a wonderful thank you to them for all that they are doing for you at this special time in your life and it’s also a fun way for you all to  get together, unwind and catch up on everyones’ news. We live in busy times and what a great way to spend some quality time with your favourite  people during your wedding planning.

Treat yourself well and you will look and feel your best on your wedding day.

Post-Sweet Table Fare

Weddings and food are a given. Beautiful settings and delicious food are the rule, not the exception when you get that invitation in your mailbox.  This summer, late night food stations with an array of goodies were the latest rage as guests departed to their homes,  in style. Sliders, although a popular choice, have been downgraded after Chelsea Clinton served a 2 a.m. snack of grilled cheese sandwiches, popcorn and brownies.

It’s a greasy snack, a comfort food and cheese is just perfect for absorbing alcohol as the party-goers head for the road, after the wedding celebration.

Nostalgia is in for late night partying. Cereal stations are starting to be sighted with sugary varieties of Captain Crunch and Cocoa Puffs.  A new emerging trend for sure!

Also featured this summer were old-style hot dog carts, candy floss and Poutine and French fries.  This shift replaces the conventional offerings of pastries and fruit as the last comestibles at the reception. These snacks reflect the personality of the bride and groom, and what they find to be the ultimate snack when they get home late at night.

Whatever you decide to serve  as a post reception food is up to you and your group of guests. It is always smart to ensure that they have something to snack on before they depart. Also, big urns of coffee and water are welcome at the end of the evening with the nibbles , as you want everyone to arrive home safe and sound.

Here’s To You and Your Dreams- Wedding Planning Minus The Stress!

As anyone who has ever been though a wedding can tell you, the months leading up to your big day can be a time of stress as well as happiness… there’ s so much to think about and do.

What to wear.. where will the reception be held.. selecting flowers…. who will be in the wedding… and all this while you’re having inevitable doubts about  getting married in the first place.

Welcome to the wedding jitters, they are as common as weddings. Luckily there are ways to control any anxiety. Here are a few common sense suggestions:

COMMUNICATE YOUR FEELINGS:

Be open and honest if you’re feeling upset. Tell your fiancé or family what’s bothering you. Don’t try to keep stressful feelings to yourself, they may transfer to something or someone else. Take positive action whenever possible. Worrying never solved a problem.

SHARE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Don’t assume you have to do everything yourself. This idea is old fashioned as well as exhausting. Ask your fiancé to go over the many checklists in The Wedding Guide and assist in handling as many of those planning functions with you, as he is able to.

FOLLOW A PLANNING TIMETABLE:

It will give you the secure feeling that you are not forgetting something critical. Have a system. Break down each task into organized steps. Next decide the time frame and who will be responsible for that task. Then, set-up a completion date and stay on schedule.

PACE YOURSELF:

In the beginning of your planning, you have several major areas to decide upon. Don’t try to tackle them all at once. Try to accomplish one major job a day.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH:

Eat correctly and be sure to get enough rest and exercise. Take advantage of time tested soothers at night…. a hot bath… warm milk or a back rub. You will keep stress under control if you allow plenty of time to plan your wedding and then follow through with your schedule in a timely manner.
