Wedding Photography Considerations, Windsor, Ontario from The Wedding Guide Windsor/Essex County

The Importance of good wedding photography - cover image
It is important when choosing your Windsor/Essex County wedding photographer, that you and your fiancé discuss first, what pictures you definitely couldn’t live without and then, the rest will fall into place in the order of their importance and wedding day sequence.

This area has great photography talent within all different budget ranges and shooting styles. We also boast great location shots from the urban centre to county beaches and vineyard estates. Want to feel like fashion models? There’s, the zany and fun “Trash the Dress” session, as well as post-wedding picture-taking in unique and innovative locales.

Are you a traditional bride that wants the posed, tried and true pictures of your mother’s generation, or would you prefer a more candid, photo- journalistic style? Or, perhaps a combination of both?
What you don’t want to do is accept a gesture of kindness from a relative or friend who offers to take your pictures for you. Unless they are professionally trained, it is a risky proposition to agree to this kind of arrangement , although the offer is generous.

If your pictures don’t turn out well, or if the camera breaks or that person doesn’t show up- you have no second chance to make it right. When establishing your budget for photography, budget a little extra, if your wedding photos and albums are an area of priority for the two of you. It will give you the flexibility to do that little extra, that you can look back at years from now with fond memories.

Today’s couples are putting their signature statement on every aspect of their wedding day planning and photography is no exception. From your “Save the Date” cards, shower invitations, rehearsal dinner and the wedding day itself, there will be many beautiful memories made and your images will be captured many times. By spending the time and deciding what it is that will make you both really happy, you will be relaxed and radiant in all your pictures. And, your photographer will be by your side, documenting your day, exactly the way it occurred!

Weddings-Windsor, Ontario, The Wedding Guide Talking About Wedding Locations

Twenty years ago there was no thought as to where a wedding and a reception would be held. The church or synagogue were the official ceremony sites and  the community hall is where the partying mostly took place.

With dramatic changes in society and how things are done, today there are many more options. From yachts to sandy beaches with glimmering sunlight, to museums, zoos, wineries and county clubs; brides have more choice than their mothers could ever imagine.

Themes are also paramount in wedding planning and the sky is the limit to what uniqueness can be achieved with a good idea and out-of-the-box thinking. From Hollywood sets to medieval themes, brides and grooms-to-be are having the time of their lives matching their lifestyles and personalities to their receptions.

From florals, food, invitations and fashion, today’s  weddings have taken on a whole new face. Guests marvel at the Monday morning water coolers, when they describe the weekend weddings they attended. Celebrations today are fun, unique and energizing and most definitely a treat to attend.

Now if you are a bride and thinking that all you ever wanted was a simple, traditional affair, don’t let anyone sway you.

Traditional never goes out of style and what goes around comes around. Weddings are wonderful because no two are alike and they are dictated by the families, customs and personalities of the people hosting them.

Remembering the reason to marry is to spend your life with the person you love, planning sets the stage for the life you will be living in the future. Do it your way and put the touches you want on it and it will truly be a memorable event in your life.

Wedding professionals are there to assist you in translating your dreams into realities. Ask for references and employ their services if, and only if, you feel comfortable that they can do the job you want. Ask for references and talk to people candidly about the services that they received. Based on your research you will find someone compatible and at the budget you are seeking.

We’ll be talking more aboutr budgets, trends and wedding day planning!

Weddings Windsor-Bridal, The Wedding Guide Talks Bridal!

Just married- their way!

Brides are readjusting their expections, but not their total budget. This is the message that I keep reading on articles on the world-wide web. In spite of the economic downturn, couples are taking a hard look at the things that they want and the “frills” and deciding on the style of their special day.

If the reception is the important hot button for them, they will reduce the guest list, but not the menu. There is a refusal to compromise on what the feel is important. So bring on the bruschetta bar, the appetizers and a beautiful meal, and hold on other items, sometimes viewed as superfluous.

Some couple are so focused on a particular item, that they will forgo the favours, the fancy invitations and the bridal cake for an outdoor tented affair or a vineyard wedding. Conformity is out and individual style is definitely in.

What makes today’s weddings uniquely different is that they don’t follow the traditional template of their parents’ wedding day of year’s gone by.

Almost anything goes and each wedding is personalized with the bride and groom’s fingerprint.

You’ll find martini and sushi bars, ice cream and expresso carts, caricature artists and more at today’s celebrationsl.

Big weddings, intimate weddings, beach weddings and yacht weddings; whatever venue is chosen, speaks loudly to the couple and their lifestyle, and it’s adding flair and fun to a wedding invitation.

Bridal season is just around the corner, and with it, an adventure in the extraordinary, as couples continue the tradition and do it their unique way!
