I’m certain that during all their planning, no one had thought that there would be a thief among their gathering. Halls and receptions sites are open to the public and anyone can access your party.
When speaking with your wedding coordinator at your respective venue, ask them about a lock-up for your money and gifts, and ensure that someone you trust in your group of friends or family will be responsible , until that point in time. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
It breaks my heart that such a tasteless act can occur, but it is today’s reality. The best thing to do is be prepared. And, if you have a notable guest list, you may want to hire a security person to patrol your room until the end of the evening.
