The wedding day belongs to both of you, equally. Like the bride-to-be, grooms definitely want to look their best, too! Today, some area spas welcome members of both sexes, so why not plan a spa day for the all the men in the wedding party?
The groomsmen and the groom can have haircuts, massages, facials, manicures/pedicures – all to make them feel great for the wedding day. Check for special spa packages that may be offered for the entire wedding party, including the women! It may save you all a little money on the way to looking wonderful.
Hair and skin are a top priority for the groom. Starting early in the wedding planning can be a good time to commence a new skin regime, especially if acne is a problem. This may include a facial or just some expert advice on a new product. A bad haircut can easily be grown out and takes less time than a woman’s, so try any new style a few months before the wedding, just in case it doesn’t turn out the way you anticipated. This is also a good time to think about shaving off a mustache or beard; you may want to go hairless and change your persona.
Be sure to also visit a dentist in advance of the festivities, to alleviate any dental problems that may keep you from smiling in your wedding photos. Schedule an appointment at least six months prior to the wedding day, so any major work can be looked after well in advance.

This is also the perfect time for the groom to get his physique in shape byy joining a health club or starting a personal fitness routine with a personal trainer. Eating healthy while you are on the run planning your wedding is optimum. If you don’t lose any significant weight before the big day, make sure you try on your wedding attire a few weeks before the wedding, so any alterations may be made, if necessary.
And, do remember that while your bride-to-be has been planning, shopping, buffing, tanning and getting prepared for your special day too- you will want to drop into your tuxedo shop four months before the wedding (with colour swatches in hand) to order tuxedos for yourself and your groomsmen. A beautifully dressed bride requires a handsomely suited groom and this is your milestone day. It will also make your photography more memorable when you look back on it, years into the future.

Grooms today are a large part of the wedding planning. It is a marriage of two people so participating actively is only natural. We can’t understand why it took so long for today’s groom to take his place in what is the most important of days!
